On 2 November 2026, Canadian biotechnology company Specific Biologics announced a US$35 million Series A financing round led by Hatteras Venture Partners to advance its Dualase programme towards an initial biomarker proof-of-concept in a clinical trial for C9ORF72-associated ALS.
