New Zealand Supports NZ$13.9 Million Aged-Care Expansion

On 3 November, the Government announced support for a new 24-bed wing at O’Conor Home in Westport, increasing capacity from 68 to 92 residents. The project is valued at NZ$13.9 million and includes a NZ$2.1 million Regional Infrastructure Fund loan, with around 25 additional staff expected. The development creates opportunities for healthcare suppliers, construction firms and aged-care specialists.
