MERCOSUR–EFTA Trade Agreement Takes Effect for Uruguay

From 1 November, the MERCOSUR–EFTA free-trade agreement entered into force bilaterally for Uruguay, opening a framework for improved trade conditions with Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. Businesses will need to assess applicable tariff preferences, rules of origin and customs documentation. No financial value was attached to the agreement's implementation.
